Please join with the friends and family of Drew Youngquist to help create an endowed scholarship which will be named The Drew Youngquist Legacy Scholarship.
Drew Youngquist, 22, tragically lost his life August 12th, 2025. In those brief 22 years, Drew lived a life of service and adventure, through work with vulnerable patient populations and embodying ideals of sacrifice, service and curiosity. At the time of his death, he had recently graduated as an honors student with a degree in EMS studies and a focus on wilderness rescue. He previously served the Salt Lake Valley as an AEMT and, later, as a ski patroller at the Olympic Park in Park City. Drew was applying for medical school when he died and had hoped to become an emergency physician like his father. In an effort to honor those ideals of service and dedication Drew espoused, a scholarship fund is being undertaken to reward deserving students embodying similar pursuits and ideals.
Our goal is to raise funds for the creation of a $25,000 (or more) endowed scholarship at the University of Utah where Drew was pursuing his undergraduate degree at the time of his passing.
The endowment will be awarded as a scholarship in honor of Drew Youngquist to undergraduate College of Health students pursuing emergency medicine services, with preference given to pre-medical students, wilderness medicine emphasis, or similar fields.

In the event that we are unable to reach the $25,000 minimum by September 2027, donations will be used to support the expendable scholarship until funds have been exhausted.
